District 3 Representative News

July Report:

So, this month has been all about preparation. Preparation for the upcoming school year, for upcoming HOSA events, and for a headstart on getting all set goals accomplished! This month, I made a list of all of the schools and teacher names in my districts, and I plan to get in contact with each of them to discuss HOSA goals and district officers. So if I could get a list of advisor emails and or phone numbers (if you have that...) that would be great.
The most important and exciting thing I did this month related to HOSA was advertising its greatness and recruiting members! Every year my high school has what we call ,F.I.T., which stands for "freshman in transition." This takes place 2 weeks before school starts. Its a program set in place to get the freshman well aware with the school policies and opens up their eyes to the opportunities that await them in their upcoming first year in high school.  My job as student body president was to conduct the program for the 100+ freshman, then lead the session about school clubs. Wearing my HOSA uniform, I fully represented HOSA and got over 75 potential interests before the program ended! I made a trifold board, brought in my previous won medals, pictures, the HOSA scrapbook, HOSA members from last year, and a personal testimony about how amazing HOSA is to the freshman, and it was a true success. I love having HOSA in my life, and to share it with others brings pure excitement!
Another project I've been up to is still underway, I have to talk with my student council about it, but while I was in the conference call with American heart Association, I had the greatest idea about incorporating AHA into homecoming. They loved the idea too, so I'm going to keep ideas rolling and try to get that approved. I figure with all of the responsibility I have been give, I might as well use this leadership to help out as many people as possible and raise money for such a great cause, so thank you for letting me be a part of the conference call with AHA.
I cant wait to get the upcoming year on a roll. Horray for HOSA!
