Regional Leadership Conference

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone enjoyed Fall Leadership Conference as much as I did! Thanks to Ron Davis and his students for getting everything organized for us. It was a great experience and my students really enjoyed it.

Regionals are scheduled for November 15th at Southern Lee High School in Sanford, NC. The address is 2301 Tramway Road, Sanford, NC 27330. The phone number for Jaci Watson is 919-708-8598. We will check-in and get registered from 9-10 am and the competition will start promptly at 10 o'clock. There will be no opening ceremony.

Please have the Job Seeking Skills competitors e-mail their cover letters and resumes to me at dholden@harnett.k12.nc.us by November 3rd. The cover letter must be the text of the e-mail with the resume attached as a Word document.

Please send all registration information to Audrey Massengill. She must have your registration, $5 fee per competitor and your affiliation list in her hand, not postmarked, by November 3rd! Again, mail it in plenty of time to be in her hand on or before November 3rd. Audrey will then get me a list of all competitors, so that I can get this list to Jaci and she can plan rooms accordingly. Audrey's address is:

I will post a list of CE managers on this website by Monday of next week. There are still a couple of events that I need to get covered. If you are willing to manage an event and haven't signed up for one yet, please let me know. If you are managing an event, please try to bring your own judges. Also, please go over the event guidelines and make sure they understand exactly what they are looking for. If you bring a parents as a judge, they cannot judge their own child. We will be happy to use them in another event.

There will be food for the advisors and judges provided by local restaurants. Students will be able to purchase food such as burritos, pizza, etc. for around $1-$2 per item. Please let your students know that they need to bring money for these items.

We are planning on having the awards ceremony and being done by 3 o'clock. If you need further information, please let me know! I look forward to seeing you there and hope we have a big turnout!
